DESCRIPTION:Location: Spring Creek Baptist Church\nHow To Participate:\nMembers register to participate by commenting in the event with the name/names of presenters and their chosen historical figure/s. Participants may enter this fair either as individuals or as a family unit. The historical figure MUST be listed to avoid multiples. If a historical figure has already been chosen\, please choose another. All ages may participate!\nWhat To Do:\nParticipants will 1) Study their chosen person from history over the next few moths 2) Come dressed as their historical figure and ready to personify their character while at the fair 3) Be prepared to answer questions from passersby about their character as well as present facts about her/her life from the perspective of the character and 4) Prepare a tri fold poster board that will highlight their characters life and the time in which he/she lived. 5) Finally\, participants need to submit ONE interesting fact about their character to coopdirector@pcche.org which will be included in the scavenger hunt. I need this interesting fact one week prior to the event.\nWhat To Expect:\nParticipants will be assigned table space to set up their poster board and any other display materials they would like to use. While at the fair\, participants will stand by their display and engage spectators. This is an OPEN PCCHE event meaning friends and grandparents are welcome to attend to act as an audience. When the event is over\, each family is responsible for cleaning up their display.\nWe hope you can come but if participating isn’t your thing please consider attending to learn and show support to our PCCHE families! DESCRIPTION:Location: 707 Pleasant Ridge Court\, Mansfield\, TX\nPlease read all details below ⬇️\nThis is field trip to the Bud Ervin Water Treatment Plant in Mansfield Texas and is designed for children ages 10 and up. This event is split into two educational portions: a classroom presentation where we will be learning the CHEMISTRY behind water treatment and a guided tour. Children are expected to listen and behave during the duration of the event.\nSpacing is limited to 60 students and we will be divided into two groups based on age. As space is limited\, only children ages 10 and up will be included in the final headcount. DESCRIPTION:What You Can Expect:\n* A ticket to one of three planetarium shows\n*Engaging exhibits that teach the origin of the universe and how science affirms the Bible\n*Animatronic creatures\, special effects\, and a chilly Ice Age theater\n*Fascinating facts about DNA and human ancestry\, fossils and rocks\, dinosaurs\, and astronomy\n*Development and application of critical thinking skills while discovering the latest scientific research\n*A Bible-based journey through Earth’s history\, highlighting scientific discoveries along the way\n*A resource store full of creation-based science resources and educational kits\nGroup pricing for entrance to the Discovery Center exhibit hall and a planetarium show is $17 for adults and $13 for students (ages 5-17)\, 4 and under are $6 each.\nA final headcount and payment is required two weeks prior to the event so a HARD rsvp and payment is needed by February 13th.\nRSVP your name and number of those attending and ages.\nCrystal Paige is the contact for this field trip.\n**This is a PCCHE sponsored event and is open to PCCHE members only.**

DESCRIPTION:This month PCCHE teens will be serving Parker County by volunteering at the Tarrant Area Food Bank in both quality control and the mission market. We will also get a bite to eat after our two-hour shift is over!\nWhat you need: dinner money and an enthusiastic heart to serve \nPlease RSVP with teen’s name and age as well as whether or not he/she will need a ride. If your child is 13\, please consider attending yourself also as the Food Bank requires more chaperones for that age group. Please carefully read the details and requirements for attending below! \nFrom the Food Bank:\nQuality Control:\nVolunteer roles can include\, but are not limited to:\nSorting\, cans\, grocery items and packaged meats\nPreparing boxes\nManual pallet jack operating\nSweeping/Mopping\nPallet wrapping using shrink wrap\nTaking cardboard to onsite compactor\nCLOSE TOE SHOES ARE REQUIRED.\nVolunteers should be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift 30-40 pounds.\nMission Market:\nVolunteer roles can include\, but are not limited to:\nStocking the shelves with shelf-stable items\, fresh produce and dairy items and packaged protein\nCompleting registration paperwork\nHelping visitors while they shop\nAssisting with loading groceries into their vehicles\nCLOSE TOE SHOES ARE REQUIRED.\nThis is a PCCHE sponsored event that is open to PCCHE members only.
