DESCRIPTION:After visiting the Veldhuizen farm in the morning and lunch at the Stephenville City Park\, we will head to Tarleton State University’s dairy center to observe their milking process and learn how the cows are cared for and fed.\nCows at the Southwest Regional Dairy Center are milked 3 times daily on a 24-cow rotary milking parlor. Each milking session lasts for approximately 9 minutes while the cow makes one full rotation on the parlor. This type of parlor can help improve efficiency by keeping workers on a timed pace as well as provide a stress free environment for cows.\nThis field trip is free\, but please RSVP by Friday\, Oct 16.\n**PCCHE members only**

DESCRIPTION:Did you know that you can bring your students out for free to experience living history firsthand?\nOn November 13th\, we will have over 100 reenactors and historians set up camp on our historical parade grounds\, demonstrating trades (blacksmithing)\, cooking\, civilian life\, artillery demonstrations\, and military drills.\n\nThe park will also have a few scheduled activities happening at different times throughout the day\, such as Charles Goodnight presenting on his life\, a 19th-century writing class\, poetry\, and more.\nThese activities will not be happening continuously\, and the park will post the official schedule closer to the November event once everything is finalized.\nOnce the park has the schedule\, pcche will post our meeting time!\nThere will be other groups at this event because it is open to the public too.\nPlease put how many kids and adults will be attending below.

DESCRIPTION:You and your teen are invited to join PCCHE’s annual trip to the Operation Christmas Child processing center in Coppell!\nVolunteers MUST be at least 13 years old. This is a strict OCC requirement\, and parents must fill out a permission slip in order for their child to participate. Parents of 13 and 14 year olds who have never before attended OCC must accompany their child for their first time. Diligent and rapid work\, as well as attention to detail\, are required as the team processes hundreds of shoe boxes during the shift.\nPlease RSVP with the names of everyone in your family who would like to participate (please include ages of participating children and your email address so that the minor consent can be sent to you). We will need drivers and chaperones\, so please volunteer in the comments below. SPACES ARE LIMITED.\n**We’ll be meeting at the north side of Lowe’s parking lot at 12:30 pm on Tuesday. We will not be eating lunch\, so make sure you have eaten! You might also want to pack snacks to eat during breaks.
